Community Service Officer
About the Position
This is a part-time, volunteer position with rotating work hours, including weekends and evenings. Once successful completion of training, CSOs have the opportunity to ear pay for locking gates at night and assisting in working security detail at events.
The Community Service Officer is responsible for providing a safe and secure environment for the patrons adnd staff at the area parks.
The Fulton-El Camino Park District Police Department intends to promote from within as openings develop.
Responsibilites include, but are not limited to the following:
- Report suspected hazards and criminal behavior.
- Provide assistance to patrons and staff as requested.
- Check rental applicants in and out of facility locations.
- Write police reports.
- Patrol park facilities in a police vehicle to deter crime.
- Be able to identify and complete parking citations.
- Assist officers in the transportation and booking of property.
- Transport evidence from FEPD to other locations.
